Get a box of Bounce dryer strips, and put a couple in the unit. We use these at the club in traphouses and storage areas. We have zero problem with bugs and critters.

Iffn you want to try it on the cheap side try putting a couple of moth balls in the unit. keeps the critters away. I live on the lake dirtdobbers are every where, really a problem. put mothballs every where, in drawers of my tool boxes, in the motor shroud of my out board motors, big moth cake under my deck and a few around the attic. just hate those mud nests and the moth balls stopped the problem. give it a try

    best
