Since the other thread on this subject wandered off the subject, it is best to start a new one with the information on the incident. I was NOT there so this is all second hand..... Tuesday evenings are practice with the club being open to the public for trap and skeet. None of the shooters were registered target shooters. The 5 man squad was made up of 4 men and one nine year old boy who was being introduced to shooting by his grandfather who is not a regular shooter of any discipline. The grandfather and grandson were shooting 20ga. shotguns "hunting guns".... When the first 5 targets were shot the squad started to change posts.....the grandfather had chambered a round and for what ever reason did not realize it and as they stated to move the gun discharged into the concrete behind his grandson who was struck with the most pellets, the other three shooters in line were also struck with pellets but not as many as the grandson. Most of the pellets were removed in Pittsburg from the boy but some were left to be dealt with later ???? How the gun was being carried and what type of gun was not relayed to me and given the circumstances some details may never be know for sure????
