Taken from an NSSF email... in part

All Gun Owners, Hunters and Shooters,

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) -- the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry -- urges you to contact the Environmental Protection Agency to oppose a petition filed August 3 by the extremist Center for Biological Diversity to ban traditional ammunition. Your right to choose the ammunition you hunt and shoot with is at stake.

Express your opposition by calling or e-mailing:

    Lisa P. Jackson
    Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
    1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW
    Washington, DC 20460
    (202) 564-4700
    Fax: (202) 501-1450
    Email: jackson.lisa@epa.gov

    respectfully offered

This same group fought for the Arizona-Mexican border to remain open so that the Jaguar could roam freely.

Hmmmm...so Mexicans can come here and reproduce like crazy, yet they are handing out condoms to control the population....

If the EPA can go after farmers for dust, then lead can't be too far off. Read the link above.

Hundreds of tons of pesticides are applied to golf courses each year and birds die from it. Where is the EPA when it comes to pesticides and golf courses? All of those tons run off into your drinking water and fishing streams.

This ban also includes fishing line as it is produced with some lead added to the nylon.

I shot a few rounds of trap recently at a yacht club along the Delaware river. Because of a ban on lead shot, the club shoots 1oz of #6 steel. Absolutely rediculous, as the river is a major waterway for ocean going tankers and freighters, and the stuff they leak -- and have leaked for probably the last 100+ years -- is far worse than a few handfuls of lead shot every few weeks.

But groups liek the EPA go after the easy targets first, so they ban lead shot instead of going after the big polluters.

Guys: All of this shit started here in CA. Arnold signed (and why I have no idea) The bill to eliminate lead bullets in the Condor Sanctuary. In case you don't know the Condor santuary is everything from Monterey, south and east to the borders of Nevada and extending to include the Grand Canyon. Luckily, AZ hasn't signed on to this BS. You can't hunt any furbearer in this area with any bullet that contains any lead. Barnes likes this bill.

The not so bright logic behind this lie was "Condors eat the gut piles left when hunters field dress a deer, and there are Lead fragments in the gut piles, which give the Condors, oh,,,, Wait, ONE Condor,,, Lead poisoning!"

Mind you there is not one IOTA of realistic scientific data to support this claim, and it was all advanced by pure bullshit.

Now, there are bills pending in several western states to ban all lead ammo, based on this very bill that got passed here in CA. The mutation of the earlier logic is that now all Raptors( eagles, hawks, owls, crows, buzzards) are dying from lead poisoning.

This is all built on the first lie which now that it is law is considered to be the truth.

We need to be able to hold politicians accountable for the laws they pass. That means no more hiding behind some "Immunity Clause" when it is found the law was passed under false pretenses or based on faulty research or outright lies.

I live within 200 yards of the Ventura River which has been dry for the last 4 years and yet it is classified as the Second Most Endangered Fishery in the US.

This river is supposed to be home to the Southern California Steelhead which in case you didn't know is the only species of Steelhead that has four legs and a tail, which they use to walk up the dry riverbed from the ocean 15 miles away, to spawn in the swimming pools of people who live in Ojai CA.

We have way too many idiots in politics in CA and I got news for you all. When they come to live near you when they can't afford to live here any more, you need to kick their asses, and send them packing.

I always say "the best argument against mexicans coming here to live, is to look at what they have done to their own country Well the same goes for the liberals that OOze out of CA into your nice neighborhood. Don't be nice to them, they'll bring their liberal bullshit to a town near you and make it into hell too!

Guys,,, there is no shortage of Stupid People!

    Randy
