I just wanted to get the ball rolling on a shoot to be held next year. I outlining the program that we will be doing for the Kentucky State Shoot on July 3rd. and July 4th, 2009. First we have the Infinity Raffle on July 4th, 2009. This is where I need the help from the coaches. The raffle tickets need to be distributed to the teams for them to sell. The first ticket drawn for the gun will include the SCTP or Youth Team on that winning ticket will and that team will receive $2,000.00. The SCTP or youth team that sells the most tickets will receive $2,000.00. Also included in the program is 12 youth shooters will receive $1,000.00 cash each. Read the flyer and our web site for details. You do not have to be a Kentucky youth shooter to win this money and you do not have to be present to win the other awards. Following the shoot on Saturday July 4th, 2009 there will be a BBQ dinner for all the shooters and their families. This is a donation dinner that all the proceeds collected will go to the Kentucky Youth Shooting Program. The meal will be done by a National BBQ Champion Cook Milt Palasota and his wife from Kansas. There is more, on Friday July 3rd, 2009 the afternoon handicap will be the DeVault Infinity Handicap. There will be Silver coin belt buckle's for Champion - Runner-up and Champion buckles for yardage groups. 18-20, 21-23, 24-25, 26-27. There will be added money $250.00 for Champion and $150.00 for Runner-up. These trophies are open trophies to anyone. We will have Infinity Shotguns to demo all week and we look forward to seeing everyone. PLease help us make this the biggest Shoot that Kentucky has ever had. Coaches please contact us for a packet of tickets and let's get this deal going. Phone 330-456-6070

    Thank you,

    Dennis DeVault

Am I reading this right? The top 3 Junior males, top 3 Junior Females, top 3 Sub-Junior Males and top 3 Sub-Junior females all win $1,000.00 each? Regardless of what state they are from?

Yes you read the program correct. You do not have to be from the state of Kentucky to win the cash awards. We did this same program on a smaller scale two years ago and it was very succesful. There were several Junior shooters not from Ohio that won awards. This is a great program and we are wanting it be a big hit. If we get the kids and shooters behind this event we will do this again in 2010. We have a limit of 600 tickets to be sold and have sold about 150 tickets so far. So again coaches and youth shooters, give us a call and reserve tickets. 330-456-6070

My good friend Milt & wife Jimette ask if I would post the following message.

    From Milt:

We will be hauling our 18 ft rotisserie/convection smoker to the Kentucky State Shoot early in the week. This smoker was designed and built by us after four years of experimentation and we believe it produces the best BBQ in the world, and many from Montana to South Dakota, from Arizona to Kansas agree. It will feed 2000 people per day with ease. It has a 60 inch diameter cooking chamber, and up to 16 eight foot long rotisserie shelves, an eight foot insulated firebox with lots of warming oven space on top. No gas is used, only fruitwood and/or charcoal.

The primary menu includes choice grade beef brisket, premium fed pulled pork butt, potato salad, baked beans, bread, condiments and more! All rubs and toppings are hand blended from fresh spices, and are from old Texas family recipes. This will be a full dinner and all meat will be carved and served fresh right out of the cooker...not warmed up. All cost are being donated, therefore all donations for the dinner will go directly to youth shooting in Kentucky. So bring family, friends and your generous donation to benefit this worthy cause.

We'll be easy to find on the grounds, just follow your nose. I'll be happy to show off the smoker to anyone and provide cooking tips to all who asks, If time permits, we'll even put on a free cooking school if we get enough intertest.

Other state youth programs have shown interest in this fund raising effort. If you would like to discuss a youth shooting fundraiser at your State or Zone shoot, please contact me for details

See 'ya there and come hungry

Contact Milt at the above address for ideas on how to raise money for your Youth Group. We help raise over $100,000 each year for the American Cancer Society, City, County and Church fundraisers, and feed the local military units for free by involving volunteers and willing donors. You can help make 2009 the best ever for your club and for YOUTH SHOOTING!!!
