    Mike,

There is a number 4 and an X on it now.... does this mean that I would order a number 5 or 6?

Mike would you be willing to explain again how to change out the top lever spring in the MX3 special? TIA Calvin.

Your MX-3 may have the old style top lever spring and plunger. The top lever spring did not last very long with that particulat style. Most guns, if the springs have been replaced lately, should have already had the change.

I had one a few weeks ago that still had the old plunger and spring. I can't remember right off hand, but I think the new plunger is around $40.

Just a note....when I talk of the old style, it's not the "old, old" style like was found on the older MX-8's.

The original MX-8's had a plunger that was flat on one end and slotted on the other, and had a spring within a spring. I believe when the MX-3 came out, the top lever spring actually fit into a hole in the plunger. When it was discoverd that that spring was to weak or weakened too fast, the hole in the plunger was made bigger to accomodate a larger dia spring.

The new style plunger and spring will fit all MX guns, old and new.
