I have lots of AA hulls and promo powder. The wads I have are windjammer wads and they are not tall enough to fill the hull and have a nice crimp. What would be the best wad to use with this combination? I am seeking a nice 1145 to 1200 fps load.

The WJ should work fine if you put enough powder in them?

These are 1 1/8 loads using 18 gr of promo. The crimps are inverted to far in and some have holes in the center of the crimp.

    Thanks

If you are using a MEC machine, I would suggest you lower your pre-crimp a tad.

Old style AA? The old style load the same as the STS. The new HS have a higher basewad and less room. The AA12 wad works well with promo, reddot, Am Sel in the original hulls. You may need to use a slightly shorter wad in the HS hulls.
