    Waaaahh...they

Well, lookee here...seems the Democrats are whining because they can't get their "healthcare message" out in unfettered form. I actually saw a major internet news organization use the words "Obama" and "Off-Message" in the same headline today...consensus seems to be, the toilet paper roll is just about empty on the "Public Option."

    Somebody call the Waaaambulance...

Wonder why Wonder Boy didn't get the same treatment in New Hampster? Could it be they hand picked applicants from online applications? They know that if they don't get it done this year, they might not have the majority after the next election. That seems to be the motivation for "change". Unfortunately, it could take 30 years or more to undo the "change". This should be a wakeup call for the american citizens. When you have such an overwhelming majority in power, all you get is the shaft. I don't care which side it is, they need an opposing balance of power. Otherwise, you end up like California, New York, and Mary-Land. We won't mention Massachusetts, New Jersey, or the rest of the odd colored states.

How can you promote something you haven't even read? After watching some of them on TV it's possible they can't read either, especially that sleezeball Durbin.

One question: If your state has "Workman's Comp" insurance paid by the employer, what happens to that if we have National Health Care? Does it go away?

Setterman: workman's comp is a totally different issue. Employment related injuries have to be borne by the employer Through W. C.

Every job has a classification, and some, like clerical work, have a very low per manhour fee paid.

On the other hand, walking High steel has a very high manhour fee. And there are many risk classifications in between.

There are some blank spots and inequities, but overall it's a fair system. It's just a cost of doing business, like unemployment contributions.

Anyone want to translate the POTUS's message here? Dashaub?

"Several months ago, Barack Obama's grandmother had hip-replacement surgery, but then died weeks later at age 86. Later, Obama questioned the wisdom of giving "my grandmother, or eveyone else's aging grandparents or parents" such expensive surgery in their later years through government-run health care.

Of course, he pointed out that he would have paid for such surgery himself for his grandmother.

But he has not publicly addressed the question of how others might do that under Obamacare, after the programs starts running out of money and possibly has to cut back on services. By that time, most privately practicing physicians who could do the procedures, may have been driven out of business by tax-money-subsidized Socialized Medicine, leaving no one available to do the procedures outside the government-run health care system.

Obama Says Grandmother’s Hip Replacement Raises Cost Questions

    By Hans Nichols

April 29 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama said his grandmother’s hip-replacement surgery during the final weeks of her life made him wonder whether expensive procedures for the terminally ill reflect a “sustainable model” for health care.

The president’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, had a hip replaced after she was diagnosed with cancer, Obama said in an interview with the New York Times magazine that was published today. Dunham, who lived in Honolulu, died at the age of 86 on Nov. 2, 2008, two days before her grandson’s election victory.

“I don’t know how much that hip replacement cost,” Obama said in the interview. “I would have paid out of pocket for that hip replacement just because she’s my grandmother.”

Obama said “you just get into some very difficult moral issues” when considering whether “to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill.

“That’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues,” he said in the April 14 interview. “The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health- care bill out here.
    "

I think what is being said here is, "Go ahead a die to make room for the rest of us. Meanwhile, those of us in government will maintain ouer status quo."

Barry that's very republican of you.:) Actually Dick Durbin is one of the most truthful senators in the senate. I would trust him to tell me the truth no matter what I wanted to hear instead of it. No just you wait and see one of these republicans from the "herd" will say he called our troops names when he read the FBI report to the Senate. They still can't get over it. Dan

Kinda odd things aren't going his way, now he has to play the race card. Typical. The media (not Fox, the real media) saying socialism the new N word. He will stoop to anything to push his agenda.

Workers Comp. its the biggest joke of a program ever concieved, here in Washington state. They are also the "richest" department of all the state agency's

I've been under their "care" for going on 10 years, they have done more damage to "Me" then my accident!

Took 2 years, 4 opinions to get the OK for a needed surgery, after a MRI exposed the problem!

And guess what? you can't file malpractice against the agency!!

Who is for a National program? NOT ME!!!

FYI: When I complained about the treatment over not OK'ing the surgery, WC response was, "your doctor should have done it(because of his "oath" as a doctor) and worried about getting paid later"

I don't understand how Obama and his cohorts can confirm or deny what is in their healthcare bill. Last I heard it wasn't complete plus I doubt if they have read what they have so far. They didn't bother to read the "stimulus" bill before it was passed and signed by Obama...Bill
