After shooting thousands without a hitch, last week I had three bad primers in one box of reloads. Someone mentioned that I could have got some oil on them?Don't see how this could cause them not to fire when the primer is entirely enclosed. Anyone else have any problems with w209's? Bill

My reloader counter says I've made ~15,000 shells with Win209 primers. All have went bang...until the last few days at the California State Shoot. I've had three shells now with hard firing pin strikes but no bang.

I've had one in about 10,000 reloads.

I have been using W209's for as long as I can remember ( I'm 71 ). Never a problem. Not once. This past Wednesday a fellow shooter had two FTF's with W209's. Hard strikes, deep dents. Seems like a currant problem. Hope they fix it before I need to buy more.
