We are looking for replacement microphones for our CVR system. I ran across substitute parts from a company named BRB Systems USA. The mic's look the same and supposedly are individually tuned. The price is a lot better than the CVR's.

Does anybody have experience with these people and the microphones and what did you think?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Are you replacing broken plastic speakers? What I did was order some Speco speakers and just replaced the guts. Much cheaper. See link. Mark

I have used generic horn type speakers (aluminum) that were about 10 bucks each with success, had to re use the connector setup. don't forget to put a resistor across like the originals. I think it was 10 ohms.

You can check the speakers and cables with a transistor radio, hook to the earphone jack.

My small club purchased a BRB system over a year ago and it has worked perfectly. Identical to CVR system.

Here is the best price I found. Not a big deal to wire them up properly as stated above and a huge savings.

I bought a BRB system for our club over here in West Australia 12 months ago hasn't missed a beat. I found them to be a great company to deal with.

Some 10 ohm resistors = radio shack

For under $20 you can make your own replacement mics.
