Keystone Shooting Park is proud to announce that we will conduct a “Meet & Greet” media event with two-time World & Olympic Gold Medalist in Olympic Skeet, Vincent Hancock. This event will be supported by Beretta USA Corporation with the attendance of their famed “Demonstration Van”.

The Beretta “Demo Van” will be stocked with approximately 20 shotguns of all models, configurations and gauges. All of these firearms will be available for use on the Keystone Shooting Park ranges by the general public. In addition, Beretta will also have a few rifles models as well as several of their handguns models available for viewing and handling.

All aspects of this event are to encourage family unity and participation and will be free of charge to the public. Use of the Beretta demonstration guns will be at no charge and Keystone Shooting Park will provide ammunition and targets as well as food and beverages at no cost to all that attend.

Vincent will put on a demonstration of his gold medal winning skills and also make himself available for photos, conversation and interviews. He will also have his two Olympic Gold Medals available for viewing. We’re sure that both young and old kids alike will enjoy the opportunity to meet Vincent and share his company, not to mention the chance to view the beautiful rewards of his hard work for the United States over the last decade.

The “Meet & Greet” event will commence at 4:00 PM and run until approximately 7:00 PM. We’ve arranged the timing of this event so as to allow both school age children and their parents an opportunity to make time after classes and work to meet an Olympic hero and see the new line of finely crafted firearms that Beretta has to offer. They will have the new DT-11 in Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays configurations as well as the brand new model 692’s that will arrive from Italy later this month. Likewise, other sporting and hunting models as well as semi-automatics in several gauges will fill out the line up and be available for use.

The Beretta Demo Van will be at Keystone Shooting Park both Saturday and Sunday, April 20 & 21 to support the Beretta USA Cup in Olympic Trap as well as April 25th, 26th, & 27th to support the Hancock Shooting Academy Olympic Skeet Clinic and the Beretta USA Cup in Olympic Skeet.

In case of inclement weather we will have tents set up for use by the public. Keystone Shooting Park complex is located at 610 Game Farm Road, Dalmatia, PA. 17017. Please visit our website address seen above for more details of the event as well as view our schedule of events and all that we’re doing at Keystone to promote the Olympic shotgun sports in the United States.

    MIA,

Thank you and we really appreciate the positive feedback that we get regarding our posts and efforts to advance Olympic shotgun sports in North America.

    Slugo,

Yes, we just opened our Olympic skeet range right before Christmas. I've attached photos of the range for your review. Give me a call on my cell phone (717-903-9009) and we can set up a visit and maybe a membership to KSP for unsupervised use of the facilities.

    Slugo & Hap,

Once again, thank you guys so much for your support and kind words. They are greatly appreciated. Our construction plans for the Spring will be adding field lights for evening shooting for our athletes and the addition of a ramp system for wheel chair bound athletes. There's a push to put shotgun events into the Paralympics for either 2016 or 2020. Due to our relative close proximity to both Walter Reed and Bethesda, we intend to make a push for our returning disabled veterans to get involved and be ready for another call to duty on the Paralympic team. We were at the Perazzi World Event in Italy last summer and they had a special handicapped category, which attracted over 36 shooters. I might add that some of them were pretty good and gave those able bodied competitors a run for their money. The Italians are getting ready and we better pay attention and do the same if we want to compete with them on a world scale in the Paralympic events. It's a noble cause and a way to give back to those that lost so much.

This is a 15 trap Olympic Bunker. It exists. Allen has built the finest facility of its kind in the US. When are you going to come to Gator so you can experience this exciting game first hand?

One of the big differences is American skeet is shot with the gun mounted when calling for the bird, international (olympic) skeet the gun butt has to be at waist level when the bird is called for. I think the field layout is the same, not sure about bird size or speed.

    Mr. Johnson,

The mates serve as a defining perimater and area of the authorized stations. The rubber mates also serve as a raised and soft surface. The raised portion allows rain water to drain away from the competitors feet and it also acts as a cushion so that the competitor may set their gun barrel down and not damage the surface. We do not permit toe guards at our range as this is a bad habit as it makes the gun barrel end have direct contact with the human body. It is considered a safety violation and the mats act as a safe alternative to the toe guard flap.

    Dr. Longshot,

Mr. Baber has pointed out that Keystone Shooting Park already possesses a 15 machine Olympic bunker that happens to be the first fully automated Olympic shotgun sports range in the world. We are able to service all three Olympic shotgun sports disciplines. You can download the new Olympic skeet rules that went into effect on 1/1/13 by visiting the USA Shooting website.

    Tom,

Thank you so much for your kind words!!! They are much appreciated.
