Downrange make a Versalite repacement wad. What do you all think of it? I have shot some and think they are pretty good. Do they pattern better or equal to others. Your comments.
    thanks

They are one of the best patterning wads I have used.

Fully agree with above posts! Although I don't shoot 1 1/8 oz that much, I've found the DR Versalite wad to be the best for tight, consistent patterns.

If the new ones are as good as the old Versalites, they're great.

I have used those red ones that replace AA, very good results. Went to claybuster because they are easier to find.

I have been using this wad in a STS-green dot-1 1/8 oz recipe, but was wondering about the reason for the "versalite" name.
Does this imply that the wad would work well in a straight wall hull such as Federal ?

They have a very deep over-powder cup and seal well in even huge straight wall hulls.

Pete... That's EXACTLY why they are called Versalite. I talked to Kevin at Downrange some time ago about this very thing and he told me they work equally well in either hull..... I use them in a Remington hull and love them... Dan Thome (Trap2)
