I loved Vandalia, it was only 5 1/2 hrs. from me, Sparta is 10 hrs....But alas Vandalia is just a great memory for me now, went there for 23 yrs. in a row.
OH. didn't come up with new home grounds...IL. did, great place...end of story......

We've been down this road many times before on this subject. It doesn't matter Vandalia is no more. Both had good and bad points. Us older guys loved the ambiance of Vandalia. Sparta has a lot of what Vandalia did not have. I have only been to Vandalia and I have fond memories of Vandalia. When I finally get to Sparta i'm sure I will find a lot of things there that I like also. JMHO. Bulge.

Like twodogs I lived a short distance and went to Vandalia for years and miss it. I will likely never make it to Sparta but I am sure I would like it

You must be realllllly bored to use such old bait. LOL You have to use more orginal material like death camps or maybe Armstrong really didn't land on the moon. Have a good weekend and don't labor too much.

Today, Sparta is much superior to Vandalia for trap shooting. In past years, I was much superior to what I am today. But, I was really never as good as I used to be. My memory has a way of embellishing the past.

It's sorta like Disneyland vs. Disney World, except I believe Disneyland is still open.
