I saw one sell at auction a couple months ago for around $700. I was interested when I saw the listing of guns to be sold thinking it was a Pre-64.

Blue Book says $600.00, but I sold a Utah centennial model for $700.

$700 is a good number for a NIB model. Some of these guns had a pressure screw on the bottom of the forend that will allow you to 'tune' the barrel, and some did not. If you are looking for a shooter, it's a consideration. I haven't shot mine enough to know it works or not.

We shot 52B Winchesters in a class at EIU called "Rifle and Pistol 164" in the school year of 1969. They are very accurate. Dan

If you are buying one for a shooter, don't bother. I've had three of them and two of my friends have each owned one as well; the triggers are terrible and their accuracy is mediocre at best. The stock drop is too low to shoot with a scope, and the only scope bases I know that are available for them are the ugly-ass Burris bases.

If you are truly looking for a shooter than go with a Cooper or Anschutz. Yeah, I know, their too expensive; life is too short to shoot with an inaccurate gun!

Life is too short to support a gun company that supported Obama! Dan Cooper convinced me of that! Jeff

Mine shoots very well. I paid $600 for it a couple of years ago.

For less money an CZ is a great gun.

    Jeff,
Dan Cooper is no longer with Cooper! He was forced out by the board of directors shortly after he unapologetically made his views known.
