    Hello,
I'm helping to look for a used Rem 1100 trap gun. There's a member at my club who has one. It has an adjustable stock and from what others have told me he hasn't shot it that much. I haven't seen it yet, but tommorrow I will. He had it listed in out club flyer for a year and has not sold. He told me he had it listed for $850.00 but would sell it for about $700.00 I personally think that's still to much. What are some of your thoughts about how much I should offer the man?

    Thanks,
    Pat

Shoot the gun first. If you hit all the birds give him what he wants. HMB

They are good guns, but $700 is too much. $450 to $500 tops, unless it is something special like a Bicentennial or something.

Being "for sale" for a year at 850 tells you something. I would shoot the gun, check out adjustable stock. Things you did not mention. Adjustable comb, recoil pad or both. Or is it a Rad or other type of system. Plus HE may not have shot it much. Is their any history on the gun? I would go with your 1st feeling. "I personally think that is still to much" OK best bet, offer what you think or feel it is worth, No is all he can say. Set a price for yourself and stick with it. I am guessing if he has sat on it this long It is not a NEED to sell gun. Above web site is from one of the larger stores with used guns. Mind you some call this place the dump. I personally have found some great buys and hidden jems.
