value of model 12

    This is true my brother in law has a model 12 I think a "Y" model 28ga vr new in the box. he is thinking about selling it and would like to know what it is worth. Any one with a blue book value? I think he also has a 20ga plane barrel he also might want to unload. He just doesn't hunt anymore. Thanks for the info.

    Browning copy of model 12 in 28ga maybe?

    Sorry, talked to him this a.m. it is a Browning Model 12 28ga. this is new in the box
    The 20ga he is pretty sure a mod choked. This one is a used field gun.

    Browning put out two models of that gun. The plain receiver and one with engraving and gold (?) inlays. I think that was a Grade IV. I had a plain one in 20 gauge, which was a great shooter ... I just kept forgetting to pump the second shell in on the rare occasion that I needed it (LOL). Bill Malcolm

    He is sure it is a grade 1 NOT engraved.
