From your photo's it appears that this barrel has been altered by a P. Simms of Hemet Ca.. If it is a .742 bore with .028 constriction it should pattern extra full. What value are you placing on this item?

Attn: John Thompson: Your post interest me. You say if the bore is .742 with a .28 constriction the pattern would be "extra full" - are you sure about this?
Wouldnt a constriction of .28 mean it's in the improved modified category? I'm wrestling with choke tubes right now and seems like my hits are harder when I use a .21 and .27 choke tube in a .741 bore. Going to a .32 and .37 my hits arent as good. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Bob in Los Angeles.
