So who is willing to give up their government checks and entitlements and benefits? WHO? Seeing that a large portion of those on here are on the dole, who's willing to step up. I will, how about the rest of you?

We are good at pointing fingers, who's willing to make the sacrifice?

How many farmers, raking in hundreds of thousands, millions, while crop prices are at record levels, are willing to join in on the sacrifice.....well don't hold your breath.

Look at the soldiers that serve 1 enlistment and think they are entitled to free health care for life, sorta makes a career soldier a joke.

That's the dirty secret underlying all this discussion about the debt, that most of the people on the Right are themselves collecting off it. Just make the simple, factual statement on TS.com that Medicare and SS are "entitlements," and observe the raft of hate you will get. America's motto has become, "Borrow from China to finance MY retirement." A lot of people seem to think that somehow, foreign aid, illegals, and welfare are what's causing us to go bankrupt, when in fact they're just a small part - middle class entitlements for "good Americans" are the real culprit, which nobody wants to admit.

That's why "Social Values" have been such a godsend for conservatism. Otherwise, a lot of these so-called conservatives could have simply reached the conclusion 30 years ago that they were voting against their own economic self-interest, and we could have become a lazy, socialist, drug-addicted hell-hole - back while we still had the illusion of having money to pay for it.

We managed to delay that transition until after the realization of our budget mess finally sank in. The liberals were just 20 years too late with their agenda. Now, we know we don't have the money to be that figurative Swedish utopia. It's objectively unattainable, the liberals just haven't accepted it yet.

If we have anything to thank the Christian Evangelicals for since 1980, that would be it.

The biggest problem with so-called conservatives is they spend all their time fighting over their candidates, and justifying their entitlements, and the liberals just sit back and cash in on all of it. The conservatives of today are the liberals best friend. They are doing more to get 0 reelected than they realize.
