    This is great news.

I hope it's the beginning of a long run.

Congratulations to the NSTA for being able to get this started.

Can someone post the website for the Club? I remember it being posted before, but can't find it now.

Eleven years ago I was on a planning committee for the proposed Clark County shooting facility along with several other Las Vegas trapshooters. It's hard to believe the day we talked about has finally arrived.

Oh man, hate to miss this one, but that weekend we have three grandbaby birthdays. I hope it is a success so we can go to the next one. I miss going to Vegas. It is a beautiful facility and built for something big for sure. Hope all goes well and it is the beginning of something big. Please let us know how it goes and when the next shoot will be.

Great news for sure and I wish them every success...it is a beautiful facility - and I know the Nevada shooters and all shooters that love going to Vegas couldn't be happier.

    Gary,

It's actually north of North Las Vegas.

The closest hotel is probably the Aliante Station. Next closest might be the Santa Fe Station.

Gary, the way the crow flies, it is not far from the old Las Vegas Gun club. It is not on the East side of town. Aliente Station, Texas Station, Sante Fe are 3 places you can stay.

If you go to Mapquest.com, put in Las Vegas, NV, switch the display to "satellite" and look north on Decatur you can see the club lay out. You'll have to play with the zoom levels because it doesn't show up in all of them.

Had many requests regarding rooms in Las Vegas. Couple options!
This is normally slow time of year and there are many good rates on Orbitz.com

Aliante Station Casino Hotel which is the closest hotel (very nice facility) to the Shooting Park is offering a special courtesy discount of 25% per night off of prevailing rate, Single or Double Occupancy, valid on the dates of Dec 17-19, 2010. This rate is based on hotel availability and is not guaranteed. This discount may be extended 3 days pre or post based on availability. Rates do not include taxes and $14.99 daily resort fee. No rooms are being blocked, therefore it is strongly encouraged you to make your reservations quickly.

Call the Aliante Reservations at toll free 1-877-477-7627 and ask for the "Claybusters Group". Aliante is putting a rush in entering this into their reservation system and hopefully can start accepting reservations late today or tomorrow.
