As much power and wealth that the large corporations have amassed for the past 30 years. The only hope for the American work force are the unions. I liken today's situation to the turn of the 20th century when the unions came to be. The workers of America need to unify once again. Congratulations Sean!

Amen to that! We aren't going to feed our families and send our kids to school being walmart greeters.

Good job. Do understand that you are in a shrinking workplace and most jobs will be from the Federal or State government funding. Nothing wrong, but I have seen a number of young guys become very disillusioned with the games many unions play. Sock your $$$ away in the event of a strike. I have dealt with many unions over the years and it's luck of the draw as to whether they really have the member's best interest at heart. If a strike occurs, let cool heads prevail as I have a brother in law who got very involved (as in vandalism, threats, etc.) with management and has burned his bridge. Hot heads get a name and it just ends up making your life (and family's) difficult. I wish you the best. Yup, die hard Republican here. In fact, it's the Dems that have this nasty habit of sending jobs overseas too...NAFTA and Bill CLinton. People like Senator Di Fi is a BIG proponent of making it too easy for a company to move overseas...thats why her hubby is a big China investor/industrial tycoon.

    Sean Cogratulations.

Did you have to do four years or just three? When I went through the program it was three years and on Sat. Now the Apprentices do four years and go for five days straight twice a year.

I started out doing Structural and went to Rods. I have worked as much as I wanted.
