I have been using an ultra-sonic cleaner on some small parts. Wondering what others use in it. Soap or some kind of solvent/cleaner? Thanks, Alan

I use Hornady one shot to clean all my brass. 4 oz and fill with water. Amazing on all my rifle brass. Corey

I bought one of the Hornady cleaners after reading that it would remove the blue/black burned-on deposits on the outside of the necks of rifle brass before I ran them through my tumbler. Spending lots of time with 0000 steel wool is tough on the arthitic fingers. Alas, even with the solution mixed strong and running the machine through multiple cycles, it didn't phase those deposits and it left an almost gummy coating on the brass.

Fortunately, MidwayUSA has a very liberal return policy. Unfortunately, I'm back to using steel wool.

I read that some pistol sights are NOT to be cleaned in an Ultra Sonic Cleaner. Can't recall which sights - may have been Trijicon.

My next purchase is either a ultra-sonic cleaner or a vibratory media cleaner for rifle brass.

Would one be better or have more advantages over the other?

The ultra sonic you can use for reciever and gun parts

The vibratory one is so inexpensive you can also buy

    So get one of each
