From all I see and read that's happening here and across the world, I'm just glad that my heart belongs to Jesus because our butts are in big trouble! It would almost be funny if it wasn't so serious.

The end is not near. Obama and the Democrats have discovered a new economic system. You spend your way into prosperity. Or could this be the same type of socialist system that has failed every time it is tried. We used to be taught in school the evils of socialism. And we had The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R.) there to remind us all. We were taught how you had to give up your freedom to a socialist state. That is all forgotten. We are giving up our freedom and our future every day. Shared misery. That is the future of America.

I stopped reading when I saw that Russia will be one of the two main world leaders. Talk about a bit of communist bullshit. Will we collapse and have martial law? Maybe and seems to be more possible now then ever before. However what everyone seems to forget is if we collapse then everyone else collapses as well. To say China will be one of the world leaders along with Russia makes me laugh. China has so much ridding on our success it is not even funny. Lets see how long the China economy survives when their exports to the US drop by 70%+. They will be screwed! They also own a lot of paper (our debt) which they will not get back so they will need to right it right off their books.

Will we be a very different country when everything plays out? Yes we will but so will the rest of the world.

I seem to recall that Obama said he had the answers to this and all of the other problems that the Republicans created while he was running for office ... Obama had all of the answers, he apparently didn't know any of the questions ... Typical Politician, if his mouth is moving he is telling a lie or eating ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The last time the world went through a meltdown like this it ended in a World War. In desperate times the fools of the world turn to charismatic leaders that promise they have all the solutions. People turn their power and freedom over to these leaders. It inevitably ends in disaster.

Relax, my friends, this kook has been predicting our demise since 1998.

Other kooks have been predicting our demise since 1776.

The Russian/Soviet kooks have been pounding their shoe on the podium predicting our implosion for half a century.

I doubt our demise will be so dramatic. Here's a prediction of what's more likely to happen: The Democrats will finish raping us and people will realize, once again, that there is no tooth fairy. Then the pendulum will swing back hard right, ala Carter-to-Reagan in 1980. Then the Republicans will take advantage once again and rape us in a slightly different way. Just when we finally realize that Democrats and Republicans are both just about growth of government and their own self-interest, and we get smart enough to vote Libertarian, we'll be too old to make any difference or convince anyone young that they need to take back America. It won't matter much by then because it will be a different world and young people won't even remember what America was, much less appreciate it. They'll talk about Great Grandpa's crazy era when gun ownership was legal, and when government stayed out of your personal business, and it will be like when we talk about the wild, wild west. Future generations won't even be able to comprehend freedom, much less enjoy it. They won't even know what they've lost.

As Victor Frankl said, "A man can get used to anything, but do not ask us how."

    Just my $.02

Yeah well, Margaret Thatcher pointed out a while back that sooner or later, you run out of other people's money to spend. As soon as that dawns on the Dems, we'll be on the way to recovering. Probably not before, though...

There will indeed be a time that comes when we, as a nation, cease to exist. If you look at the trends of the previous world powers, going back all the way to Mesopotamia, the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, and etc. we are following very similarly in their footsteps, both in our successes and in our failures. We, as in mankind, repeat ourselves many times, nations rise and fall in an instant; at least in the macroscopic view of time. However, now is not our time. We have many prosperous decades ahead of us, and I would be the first to argue that our best years are ahead, and not far ahead either. It may very well be true that this is the worst economic crisis we will face for another century, but if we hit our challenges head on, and move forth with "That great American spirit," of which many are very fond of, this will not deter us much at all, and hopefully make us stronger. What we, as a country, needs to do is to see a type of outpouring reminiscent to that of 9/11 and we will carry on, stronger than ever. Until we make the same mistakes again, but that's a different argument. Bottom line, keep your heads up high, stay optimistic, yet don't loose site of realism as there is a fine line between optimism and stupidity. After all, we are Americans, we've persevered so far, who is going to stop us now? Hold your head up high, and let the big man upstairs carry you, and us as a nation in one of our greatest times of need. We will be fine.

Consumer credit and American Banking are the crux of the situation...

when these two are healthy and active, we are thriving as a Country....

Jobs are critical to the above realities...

Now that the above is in decline (with little hope of reversal) we will see the end of our High Standard of Living, the Middle Class and quite possibly Civil unrest on a massive scale....starting in the large Cities becoming "Feral"....

Stock up folks...only the strong will survive...

    regards
