TV Useage of Words

    I like to watch outdoor adventure shows. I have one big objection and that is the use of the word "BABY" ie: you got it baby, nice shot baby, good kill baby. I'm sure you all understand what I mean! Anyone else feel the same? It's a little too queer for me.

    "Baby" is better than some of the other words I hear on t.v.

    Baby is a term that can describe a very young person and it can also be correctly used as a term of endearment. I could correctly refer to recurvyarcher as "baby" but I would not when Martin was around.

    Or perhaps we should bemoan the improper spelling of the word "usage," baby...

    I'll occasionally watch one of the animal harvesting shows for a minute...but the first time somebody says "Boo Yah!" in a southern twang...I'm outta there.

    Here's the "boo yaa" connection to trap shooting.

    "During the 80's and 90's, boo-yaa was popular urban slang for a shotgun, or the sound a shotgun makes when fired"
