1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Another vote for Phil, he's done several stocks for me. He does excellent work and has very fair prices. He can be reached on (970) 523-9566.

Paul Hillmer in Iowa and Jack Docwiller in Calif., are as good as they come. If you go to DuPonts home page you will find both as he uses them for his high grade guns. They are both around $3500 to $4000 plus the wood but you get what you pay for.

You have lots of options but Wenigs should not be one of them. Tom Smith would be my choice but i don't think he is still doing the work.

Tom Smith is still doing stocks through the winter months. Both his daughters are getting married, so he needs the money!

Is Jack Docwiller still doing stocks? I had him restock a Perazzi Mirage for me back in 1985 and he did absolutely beautiful work. His shop was in Redlands, California back then and I had assumed that he was now retired.

Yes, Jack is still making beautiful stocks as he just finished one for a custom K-80 for me and he did an SO5 last year for me. He is still in Redlands Ca.

Phil Simms stocks are what a custom stock is supposed to be, very nice and made to your specifications! I love mine! Hap

I had a great conversation with Jack Dockwiller this evening and he told me that he has been doing custom stock work for 60 years. Now that has to be some sort of record! He is still working out of the same shop that I visited back in 1985.

A few years back I went to Jack's place and he had the blank inletted to the K-80 receiver. We started at 9:00 and he had me on the range by 3:00. The part that amazed me was that he had not a single power tool he shaped it all by hand.
He put almost all the stocks on the crown and super crown K-32's for DuPont from the beginning and still does on the high grade K-80's.
