I use a turkey choke for trap shooting and annies because it is what works for me. The first time I used it I won four times in the money shoots so I went home and wrote down which gun, choke and shell I had used. Then I took invertory on what clothes I had worn. Right down to my shorts and stockings. Took off all my cloths and put in a big paper sack for next week. Next week put on said clothes and loaded up with same gun and same shotshells. Won some more shoots. So Now I kinow what combination wins for me so NO MORE changing anything. Funny thing about it is now shooters do not want to stand next to me. Is it because I am shooting so well or is it because I will not wash the LUCK out of my shooting clothes??? After shooting the same stuff for 16 weeks I am getting a little ripe.

PS Ajax, Judy says she sure enjoys you buying her supper Wednesday evenings.

Lyle if you keep shooting the way you have been. Some of us are going to have to take out loans! I'll try and change that on Wednesday----again.

    Tell Judy, she's very welcome.

If it is working so well, you should make reservations for the Grand - there is at least a 100 Grand just waiting for you turkey choke shooters.

At some point your clothes will stand up and shoot the gun themselves.

    Gary,

I am not good enough for the grand. At 75 years old I have good days and more than my share of bad days. Arthur itis and his clan play heck with my hands so some days it is pure heck to shoot. What gives me my rush is getting second, third and fourth shots to knock my buddies out. Some if not all of our money pots are small but fun to win.

    Barfin,

Like I said NO CHANGEING anything even socks. HEE HEE

    Brian,

Yes I threw my pants in the corner of the grage and they settled into a perfict 40 yard number 1 post stance.

    Hap,

This post is a just for fun post. I clean up and even shave before I take my wife out to the Casino for supper.

    Jack,

I seem to remember you being in the money a couple times last week or is it my old age playing tricks on my mind again.

Hey everyone thanks for keeping this thread on the fun side.

HMMM, I thought that was the aroma of Jim's dog! I'll be standing up wind from now on.

Lyle would probably show up at the Grand, but there are just to many things different. First of all you guys throw the targets way to soft. We have to throw ours to keep it in the air for four guns.

Then registered shooters stand way to close. Registered shooters start at the 16, then move to the 27. Game shooters start at the 27 and then move to the 40, and of course registered shooter have to stand on that silly little square. Game shooters stand on the rocks and dirt, mud and there are some that will move us over toward the other trap to get that nice angle. The ones that are illegal in registered shooting.

Then there is the timing issue. Most of the registered shooters shoot the target on the way up. If you are having to wait for two or more guys to shoot, game shooters have to shoot the target on the way down. Since we are the "older crowd" of course we can't really remember if we're Third or Fourth, and so that's another timing issue.

Then there is that thing with the shells. There is nothing quite like standing next to a guy with 28" ported barrels. Shooting Thirty something grains of Longshot behind 1-1/4 to 1-1/2. It makes your ears ring for a week and the dust come out of the rafters.

Well, you see the differences and why it would be unfair for Lyle to show up with his Turkey Choke. LOL

    I won a pot.

Now I heard he's made an offer to buy the socks back!!

Sounds like a fishy situation to me.;) LOL

Barfin, would that be an examination or extermination period?

    (I had a front man buy'em, so I could win a pot;)

    Yea Ajax,

Ifin I knew they were for you I would never have done that. I did not win even one last wednesday. How much for them back??

    Barfin,
I went to the post office to mail them to you but they told me they could not recieve something that smelt that bad and gave me the bums rush out of their office so I had to try to sell them locally.
All is OK now, I shot real good last night in the wind and rain.

This is why I do not shoot at the grand. Real bad day with my hands Wednesday and a real good day Thuresday. When they cramp up and hurt bad I cannot concentrate on the bird.

    Kelley,
I think any tighter on the choke and the shot will stay in place and my body will be pushed back.

    Barfin,

Thanks a lot== coffee all over my key board. Gota love those flip flops.
My shooting partner Vern told me if I keep telling all these lies my nose will grow and I will have to extend my LOP to keep my thumb away from my nose. That may just hinder my shooting so back to the straight and narrow for me.
