Today is a good day for rice. The recipe says 'wash thoroughly before steaming the rice.' It seems kind of silly but I took a shower anyway. I can't say it improved the rice though.

I once had a recipe for something called Tipsy Sweet Potatoes. I never got beyond the first step which was to put two cups of bourbon whiskey into the cook.

I tried many times but that was as far as I got.

    Poor Man's Brandy

4lbs. of your favorite dried fruit - Apricots and Peaches work well

    2lbs. sugar

    1/2 gallon cheap Vodka

Put fruit in bottom of LARGE sealable jar, pour sugar on top and add Vodka. Turn vessel top to bottom every morning and night for 8 days. Strain, filter and enjoy. 1/2 batches work well also.
