1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

You will shoot better with a gun that fits (with stock dimensions that allow you to use the correct stance, gun mount and shooting posture (shooting form).

I purchased this book a month ago and am using it to improve my gun fit, The history of stock form is very interesting and the relation of all dimensions; pitch, drop at pad, cast, LOP, etc. to shooters head position and proper form are very well described.
    a great book

I got Rollin's book in December. Have read it twice (very important) and have since adjusted my BT99 Golden Clays. I just wish I had this book back in the 70's and 80's. Would have made ATA "A" a lot sooner. I'm a Senior ATA Vet and this book is worth every single penny. For you beginners, do yourself a favor and get it---right away. Then take your time and do as Rollin say's. You won't be sorry. Mike Cunningham Groveland, CA cunninmp@hotmail.com_

    Rollin,
Just sent an email asking for price on ten books. Seems like these would be great trophies to offer at several of the clubs I contribute to in northern California.

Rolin, Recieved my book last Thursday. Have gotten thru page 68 and have found a number of great tips mostly on stance and cheek placement. Wish it was warmer and not a foot of snow on the ground to run a few rounds to see how it really feels. Thanks for the quick turnaround. Great book. THANK YOU Brian

As a new shooter I can say I found Stock Fitter's Bible very informative. Many other sources I found gave general advice some of which was conflicting but Rollin's book explains the effect of each adjustment clearly and logically and weaves in the history of stock design. A great reference book and a good read. __________________________________________________________________________

I purchased a precision fit stock and the stock fitter bible at the same time. Using that book I set up the stock to fit me. The result is a stock which makes the gun fit me and it shoots where I look. Perhaps the most important information gleanwd from the text was the importance of pitch. Take the guess work out of stock fitting and purchase the book.

One thing to remember and Rollin even advises this also, there is so much great information in this book you have got to 1) Read it twice, 2) Make changes slowly. Then you can really smoke targets,
Thanks for the book Rollin it help me a great deal to set up my PFS...

    I agree with Fred.
I purchased a copy several months ago.
I have shot a Model 12 since the mid 70s but in my later years found out it didnt fit anymore.(may never have fit)
I had had an adjustable comb installed and an add on balsa rib for testing.
It now shoots high enough and my scores have increased.
It took a little playing around, but it was worth the effort.
Rollin explains very well how to do it.
I thought I needed a little of this and a little of that but found out I needed much more.
    Regards....Gerald

This should be called the "Trapshooting Bible", but maybe that title is taken. There is a LOT of information about our sport. Much more than just stockfitting. Great winter evening read...

I believe that if more of the posters on TS would read and understand it, there would be far fewer repetative questions on here with the same answers.

As a review, I would say after buying this "book" 6 or 7 years ago, I would save my money and go read Dennis DeVault's archived<br>
newsletters at the above website and learn what stock fitting is from a real stockfitter.

Brian, he came out with an upgrade of some sort 6 1/2 years ago, less than 9 months after I bought it from him. I remember the date because my viszla died suddenly two days before. He put one of his thousands of threads on here stating anyone who had purchased could email him for the upgrade free. When I did, he busted my chops about proving to him I paid for it. I bought it FROM HIM and PAID
HIM for it. I wasn't in the mood for it and decided I was done with him. I stand by my advice for people to save their money and visit DeVault's website and get better fitting info free. Harv Shell.
