a "Poster" wants to know how to best rid himself of unwanted categories for once and for all. If you would like to do that as well, here is what you do.

    1) Log in as you would normally to TS.com main page.

    2) hit "category view" near the top of the page

    3) then paste your category of preference into your address bar. Listed at the bottom of this instruction.

    4) Once you have that in your address bar click and hold on the red target icon in front of the address and drag that off the page and release it onto a place on your desktop.

    5) Now you will have a TS.com “icon” on your desktop that when clicked will take you right to the location of your preference. When you open up your computer and want to go to TS.com and go right to your preferred category, just click on your desktop icon.

Here are the categories and their specific links to make the direct link

    Website Address:

    Category 1 is Shooting related

    http://www.trapshooters.com/noframes/cfpages/main_sthreads.cfm#cat1

    Category 2 is Off Topic

    http://www.trapshooters.com/noframes/cfpages/main_sthreads.cfm#cat2

    Category 3 is For Sale

    http://www.trapshooters.com/noframes/cfpages/main_sthreads.cfm#cat3

    Category 4 is political

    http://www.trapshooters.com/noframes/cfpages/main_sthreads.cfm#cat4

    Category 5 is Shoot Information

    http://www.trapshooters.com/noframes/cfpages/main_sthreads.cfm#cat5

Category 6 is Want to buy

    UP for edit.

Sorry Jack but it doesn't work on my computer. No matter what I do when the page opens up.

Forum Information Threads opens up on top and then the rest are in the order they come in everytime.

Either that or your instructions are bogus. As I already don't have to sign in everytime I open the website.

Might be dependent on which web browser you use and your settings.

I cannot use MIA's method but can drag from Bookmark Manager to Desktop while using Chrome. Also, will not auto-login but I set browser to not remember passwords and run CCleaner at the end of every online session.

Try this. Bring up you base internet explorer in Google or yahoo and then paste in your choice of TS.com category and then hit go. If the proper address comes up you can then click and drag the icon out to your desktop or just add the page to your favorites.

I use Category View. I guess way back when I signed in I right clicked and then made a short cut on my desk top. I do not have to sign in when I come to visit. I select the category I want to view. No political for me. Ray

Personally, I'd like to ses the political section sent to "electricity heaven, or hell."

There are just too many blogs/sites where the politicals can go, and not here.

Gee, whiz...perhaps you could start your own site, run it how you see fit...and we'll just let David do the same?
