Why are we sending troops and getting involved in Egypt now? And the way this article is written, doesn't say US soldiers...just says Fort Hood in the photo.
    ???

By the video, are we sending Obanana's New World Police or what? If sending riot police... don't have to go through Congress?

US Military personnel are NOT police!!! I was riot trained in the earlie 70s for deployment to DC during the Vietnam demonstrations. Didn't agree then and disagree more now. This is bullcrap of the highest order. Jake

Over the hill, I tend to agree with you and Palin.

What's the worse that can happen if Putin takes over? The Islamists, Russian created Middle East(?) will attack the hand that feeds them instead of us or they will attack each other.

Congress seems to be into life on campus and can't see the forest through the trees.

Not good, is an understatement, imho.

I wonder who the middle east hates more, Americans or Russians. Think about Afghanistan before 911.
IMHO, I think the Russians started a fire in the Middle East, they can't stop from burning. That's why we should stay out.

In Jordan last year first troops were setting up camp, then communications were set up and troops to protect them, more storage last week 20 F-16 advanced to protect US troops in Jordan.
    Exactly what does that mean?
We know they dont like us there. Last year in Jordan US & alliad troops were warned by the populace where they can and cant walk in Jordan. Ohh, and you cant carry a weapon.

For good or bad, Obama has largely continued Bush's policies when it comes to foreign military adventures.

And in this mornings new "900 U.S. troops in Jordan" What the hell is happening? Are we going to fight everyones battles at our expense of our soldiers lives an the American Buck. Enough is enough! Bring them all home, cut off the free dole to every country who is thumbing their noses at us..but they still ask for the money. Time for them to stand on their own two feet!

"Wherever the standard of freedom and independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own. She will recommend the general cause by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example. She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself, beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom. The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force."
--John Adams, Speech on Independence Day to the House of Representatives, 1821
