I was just thinking about the price of trap.

Actual on the line trigger time is costing me $46 dollars an hour.

A box of shells $5.50 and a round of trap at my club is 6 bucks. Total $11.50 so a normal round of trap with a full squad takes about 15 minuets to shoot and complete.
This is only a 100 targets

$11.50 X 4 is $46 bucks an hour. At this hourly rate for a hobby or entertainment I can see why trap shooting is on its last legs...

What do you think we will be paying in 2009?

    Lee.

I don't even want to compare it to my bass fishing. Shootings cheap in comparison!

    Let's see...

Ranger Bass boat with 225 Merc and all the toys $70,000.00

Ford King Ranch F250 diesel $50,000.00

Lures, tackle boxes reels and rods ... $8,000.00

Licenses, insurance, dock fees and gas (per year) $2000.00 x 5years $10,000.00

20 trips a year @ 5 hours each for 5 years ( average boat ownership period)

    500 hours fishing = $276.00 per hour

    Priceless!
