I just bought the gun sight unseen and have shot it all weekend and it shoots great. I pulled the trigger out to switch the selector switch to extractors , When I take a shot and open the gun I feel some resistance . It is probably the hammer being reset but it just doesn't feel right. If I switch back to ejectors I feel the same resistance and hear the clicking of the ejectors throwing the shell out but for a 17 year old gun it sure is hard to open the gun after taking a shot .With trigger group out, the gun opens and closes smooth as butter . If you take the trigger group out and try to reset the hammer by hand is is ridiculously hard to reset , I have tried this on other BT100's and they are no where near as hard as mine. I dont know if someone change a spring or something that is to heavy but I want someone to look at this trigger for me. While Mr Crenwelge has my trigger he is also going to lighten the trigger pull and tighten the trigger guard which is a little loose.
What would be a good pull weight for a trap gun Im familiar with 3lb triggers on handguns but dont know what a good pull weight for a trap gun would be .
Mr Crenweldge explained to me today that my gun would not drop open like a BT99 because of internal design .
BTW , I should have my trigger back tomorrow . He found a broken spring , a burr that he removed and polished and a spring that he felt was getting weak and would have been ok but he put a new one in anyway . Also reduced trigger pull to 3.5lbs . Whoever said his prices are very reasonable was not kidding ! I really want to rave about this but I dont want the prices to go up .
Well I shot the gun today and all I can say is wow , trigger pull is nice and smooth and the 3.5 lb pull is great ! Im glad I took you guys advise on who does good trigger work and also the pull weight. I would say that 3.5 lbs is just perfect .
