Bruce...I have used them for 40- some years and I think what it does for me is it gives me a better "feel" of the trigger. Partly because it allows one's trigger finger to be further extended from the others around the pistol grip and allows the trigger to be placed on the first "pad" of the finger. It may help to prevent "flinches". If you have a gun that has a moveable wide trigger, it's probably not much help. One other thing I did was to epoxy a shaped piece of wood to them which is "warmer" in winter. Tom B
