Just checked my Beretta's trigger pull weight this afternoon and it came out at just over 5# for the top bbl and nearly 6# for the bottom.

This seems a bit stiff to me. What are your thoughts?

(I used to do all my handguns and have them at 2 3/4 lbs.)

    thanks

    charly

Mine from the factory were 3.5 and 3.75 and still are even after changing springs etc. in my Plus.

A good trigger set up is for the first barrel to be 1/2lb lighter than the second barrel. It would seem your gun is set up backwards, unless you shoot the top barrel first.

A good set up weight is 3 lbs for the first barrel and 3 1/2 lbs for the second barrel. HMB

Why would you want the second barrel 1/2 a lb heavier than the first? Seems to me that's just asking for a flinch to develop? If anything, I prefer the pull be just a tad LIGHTER on the second barrel.

    charly,

I like my shotguns right at or just under 4 lbs. five & six sounds a little heavy to me.

Thanks guys. I thought it was a bit on the stiff side.

I think I'll have it delt with.

Gunsmiths are around to lighten the pull. I was running about what you are now. I started flinching. I had them lightened to 3lbs. Much better. It cost $150.00. Dave

    John,

They are set up that way to help prevent premature firing of the second barrel. HMB
