Dave: I can only speak for myself; but when I shot pull triggers, (I shoot release now), I had all my trap guns set at 3.5#. I could not shoot a pull trigger with a 6.5# trigger pull. Just my opinion though. Ed

I think Ed speaks for a lot of trapshooters, some wouldn't know a good pull trigger from a bad one if their scores depended on it, wait it does! If you shot 300 targets with that 6.5 pound pull, you've cumulatively pulled 1,950 pounds with your trigger finger??? Makes for a long day of fun? Trap shooting is a game of inches in accurately pointing the guns bead within inches of the target, not feet. Like Ed, I couldn't hit anything with triggers that hard to pull with any consistency.
