I saw the "Traveling Wall" last summer, it just happened to be at Missoula, Mt the same time as the Montana State Shoot. Looked up the names of a few old friends that didn't make it back, VERY moving experience. A guy thinks he's cold-blooded enuf' to not be so effected------------damn, it's been fourty years ago now.

I had the privledge of escorting the Traveling Wall in 2000 when it was here. Here's a link to some photos I took at the time. Almost forgot I had this webpage until this tread reminded me.

I guess we will need some new traveling wall or something similar for our present heroes in the Mid East. I wonder how long they will be overlooked?

I too am from the Viet Nam era and the wall never fails to make me cry. Jake

I Have never been able to see it, and don't want to. I don't think I can handle the emotions.

Ctreay, are you from Lowville. Use to hunt dear there and there was Vetinarian who has since passed by name of Dr. Jones and he owned Half Moon Lake. I think the state now owns it for a retreat or something and had a beautiful cabin, garage and bunk house on it. Udse to go to a bar called the Antlers. Great times as this was back in the late 50's

A few years ago, it was in Lynn Creek during the fall handicap. Pretty sobering sight. There were far too many names of friends and relatives. Yours as well as mine.
