I am looking to get an instructional video for beginning trapshooters. This group will only be shooting singles. I'd like some opinions on which one may be the best, and information on where to get one.
Pachmayr's Trapshooting with Ken Robertson video/DVD is an excellent one for beginners and more experienced shooters who want to review fundamentals. You can find it on Amazon. Tom
I think you will find Leo Harrison's video an excellent resource for a beginner or any level shooter. I recently purchased the video for a similar reason and IMHO I think it is great. Phil Kiner's is also a great source . Mac66
Just my 2 cents, but I have Little's, Ohye's, Campbell's, Harrison's, Robertson's, Hoppe's and both Kiner's and of all of those I feel that Kiner's has helped me the most of all. I go to Robertson and Ohye at the beginning of the year for a update. As I said, just my opinion.
The best one I ever saw was a very old one "Trap Shooting with D. Lee Braun". Dick Baldwin was also in it. It covered all the fundamentals and D.Lee had a gun camera mounted on his 1100 to show the target being tracked and broken. It may be old but, to date it is the best I have seen. Ken Robertson's video runs a close second.
This playlist should get you started https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLk2xlCm9NUs7WCGo97lOUXFRHtnIPNW8X You can get more videos once you are done with this.
I would be most interested in the video. This post was actually for a high school team in Minnesota. I am amazed at the interest that has been building for several years. They conveyed that if they get the numbers projected, there will be more kids shooting varsity trap than playing varsity hockey. Thats saying something in this state...
I never had the pleasure of meeting your husband, let alone shoot with or watch him shoot. That said, I knew very well who he was, and how good the man was at this sport. Our team would be honored to use his video to help learn the sport and improve their shooting.
If you've already placed it, thank you for putting it out there.
For an intoductory video I use Ken Roberson's video; father of Scot Robertson.
