These two facilities are less than a mile apart. Perfect for trapshooting dads and skateboarding kids.

The skate park requires a signed release by a parent, witnessed at the facility. If not signed at the facility, it must be stamped by a notary. The park is awesome and NOT crowded.

The Frankfort Sportsman's Club requires you be a member. They have a 1 month trial membership that is very reasonably priced. Shooting is Wed, Fri, Sunday.

If you want to do both on a Saturday, the Palos Sportsman's club is 15 minutes from the skate park with Sat afternoon hours.

See Frankfort link. They throw great targets. I can get there via 355 South to 80 East, 45 South, 191st East to club.

There's another option: Drop the kids at the Geneva Skate Park or Batavia and then head out to Elburn and the St. Charles Sportsman's Club.

Skate park in Naperville is old news (and crowded) to my kid, but we've done that too. Thanks Jay.

Steel shot doesn't cost too much. It's $1.30 a pound to members. That's $32.50 for 25 pounds. Hey! That is too much.

Joe- You indirectly brought up a brilliant idea-- Trapshooting on a Skateboard.

Some of the recoil energy would be absorbed by rolling the skateboard
backward and vendors could expand their inventory by adding bandages. Sounds like great fun.

One time a few years back, I met up with David Tibbles at St. Charles gun club. Afterwards, he showed me a place in down town Naperville where my boys could skateboard. It was a nice little park for sure.

Matt Dryke shooting skeet on a unicycle in this video.

Only be a matter of time until someone will shoot trap on a skateboard. May be the answer to life after the 27 yard line.
