I like my Back Fence coat.

As to which is "better," I'm sure you'll get as many opinions as there are coats.

I use Wild Hare Cold Weather Coat. I have used it for 4 years now. Now problems and it is warm and light weight.

The best jacket I've found is the John Storm. Not cheap, but well worth the money.

I like the CUSTOM SPORTSWEAR & OPTICAL shooting coats that Clarence and Veda Willis make, Located in Baltimore, Ohio He attends most large shoots and has coats available. They have zip in Liners and of different weight.

I don't think John Storm can be beat. When you call i'll bet he answers the phone. I've had mine 2 years and it is great. Make sure you get the zip out lining. It gets cold here. I've never been cold and it keeps you dry. a very classie coat. Glenn Allison

    for an alternative choice....

I have a two in one jacket.....a Northface jacket, Sentinel Summit Series with my Browning mesh vest over it. This jacket is slim, hardly bulky, and will keep you warm in near zero temps, on a windy day, in rain, sleet or snow. My LOP does not change a whole lot when wearing this combo.

I like the Beretta sweater jacket. It looks thin but is wind proof and extremely warm. It comes in a pull over and a zip up option. I wore it on New Year's Day at West Penn in the snow and 20 degrees. I had a liner shirt on plus a long sleeve shirt and then this sweater. It worked great and is not so thick as to change the LOP. I also have the Beretta jacket. It looks great and is warm but will require a gun adjustment due to the thickness. The jacket has pockets, the sweater does not.
