It's a Remington model 4100 autoloading trap. Holds 154 targets when filled to recommended height. Target counter says 274810. Has some spare parts and manual. Always serviced by Shyda's.

    South Eastern Pennsylvania.

These are pretty decent machines of their era. I worked on them for 13 years.

If that target count is correct it needs to have the sprags and shafts inspected and replaced if necessary. If you catch them before they begin to chatter you can usually get 2 or 3 shaft replacements to a set of sprag clutches.

What happens is the shaft crystallizes at the points where the pawls of the sprag clutch bear into it.

If not taken care of, the sprags go out too and the cost is about tripled.

    Doubles:

There is a slot in the plate, intended for a little triamgular plastic stop that holds the bottom target of a pair in place. They are hand set. You must take off the target magazine, 4 bolts and a cord to detach.
