Are regular 2 3/4 dram trap loads OK for five stand, or should I use maybe a 3-dram load?

    Thanks.

for five stand, the longest shot you'll probably see is 40 yds, most alot closer. Std 2 3/4 dram loads are sufficient, the only time you need anything more is when you get into 50+ yd shots in clays, or like me, are lazy and don't want to carry more than 1 kind of shells LOL.

I use 7/8 oz of 9s for more than 1/2 of the shots and 1 oz of 8s for what I consider needed for distance; usually an imp. cyl. choke....Bob Dodd
