Interesting thought. Your name may not as Nutty as you think. I wonder if it would help or hurt attendance at some of the smaller shoots. It would make for an earlier day. Bob H.

Ed, not if you threw a wider (3 hole) target, and threw it a measured 49 to 51 yards.

The 50 bird one day shoots in NSSA skeet has been pretty well received.

A club called the California Golden Bears had shoots like that (and may still have) at the Triple B range in South El Monte, California. (used to be Pachmyer) the program was 50-50-50. It was pretty popular.

This would go against the grain with what is happening at the state level. Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the 100 bird singles and the 100 bird doubles are all of a sudden turning into 200 bird events. This is so clubs can offset for the loss of shooters. So what we have is a drift to have less shooters, shoot more targets. In some cases this has backfired. I find in HIGHLY unlikely if there will ever be a movemment to "50" birds at any kind of normal ATA target program. Except for those big 50's or nifity 50's or whatever there called?

nothing illegal about having a 50 target ATA shoot, or 75
