I introduced a co-worker to shooting Sunday. He was interested in a home defence / target gun. We took a variety of handguns: Single action, double action revolvers, 2 to 6 1/2
inch barrels, Single action,SA/DA,1911 style and a Glock semi-auto pistols. In a mixture of rimfire .22,9mm, .40 and.45.

I had given him some safety lititure to read and some NRA and NSSF safety videos to watch. He did really good with safety and shooting.

His choice for shooting were some .22 revolvers, He really liked a 6" barrel K-22. After another trip or so to the range I'm going to let him borrow the Model 17 Smith to make sure he really wants one.

He likes to read and research topics, Are there any good web sites for: New shooters,Rimfire shooters,Revolver shooters you can recomend? Thanks,Richard

    RimfireCentral.com pretty much covers it.

I have a S&W Model 48 that he might be interested in. Comes with 2 cylinders, 22WMR and 22LR. JM

Justice Scalia took Justice Kagan to his club (Fairfax) to show her what it was like. I did not hear her reaction.

It's always fun to help a new shooter. And I thank all of you for the sites.

He thinks he wants to purchase a Smith & Wessom MP-22. I don't know anything about them? Hopefully one of our local ranges will have one he can rent. Thanks,Richard
