I know with a muslim president it's not "PC" to celebrate America's victories, but if it weren't for "The Greatest Generation" we'd all be speaking German.

We'll not me because I'm Jewish, but the rest of you guys.

You are right on all levels ysr. It was the greatest generation. The likes of men and women this Country will never see again. If not for their selfless effort to fight the atrocities of the Germans, the Jewish people could be extinct. The World would be much different today. Would this selfish World today make the same sacrifices they did?

Thank a WWII Vet. They are slowly leaving us. Both of my Grandfathers were WWII Vets. One fought the Germans and the other the Japanese. Both are gone now.

We all need to think of where we would be today if not for that Generation of Brave Americans. For the few that are left Thanks to the entire generation for your unselfish sacrifice. For the ones that are gone may you RIP.

God help us if this country ever has to face another War like that.

    NEVER FORGET..!!!!!!!!!
    Here's a suggestion for you:
It all fine and good to thank the men we know who went into far-away lands to protect America. All the men in my family were "overseas" as they called it back then, during the war years. Remember this:The WOMEN who were left behind had a role as well. Remember to thank THEM also. This may be particularly apprpropriate with Mother's Day just ahead. I have always made it a point to thank my Mom for her role, for all that she and her sisters did back on the home front while Dad, and all my uncles were "Overseas".
The "Greatest Generation" was more than just the men and women in uniform.
