My wife has changed from a newer style BT-99 to a Perazzi TM1. She got very comfortable with the shell extractor on the BT-99 and does not like the ejector on the TM. Is there an easy way to change the ejector on the TM to an extractor?

I cut some coils off of my ejector spring and shot it this way for many years. This results in less stress to the expensive ejector. I also had Tony DeSimone remove a part from the forend and now it only extracts which suits me just fine.

    Remove Stock

    Remove trigger group

Remove the thin rod that goes through the receiver (one end contacts the forend iron, the other end is bent on a 90 degree angle and interacts with the trigger).
Remove it from the back. Put it back together and she's good to go.

    Hi Fred

I have not tried it yet, but I have a schematic of the receiver and it looks like I can do it.
