TM1 forearm opening button

    I see on the diagram that the Forend opening button turns, is this to remove the unit from the forearm or is it used to tighten the forearm to the action?

    It does not tighten the forearm to the action. To remove the forearm wood from the iron you must push the button in until that tiny screw is visible through the hole and then take out the tiny screw and remove the push rod with the button at the end. Sorry about the terminology but I don't have my parts list handy.

    After you remove the pushbutton decribed above use an allen wrench in the hole and tighten or remove as needed
