I have a TM-1 that is a bit too whippy for my tastes. I recollect seeing some guns with a weight integrated onto the forearm release button. Does anyone know where these are available and how they are attached?

I thought that I read somewhere that there was a problem with breaking the rod. I use a Meadow Industries stick on barrel weight for my MX-3 to match the swing weight of the TMX which is probably heavier than a TM1 because of the rib. The only drawback is that if you change your mind you would need more 2 sided tape. The Graco clamp on barrel weight is adjustable but costs more.

Adding a weight to the forend also adds that weight to the hanger - which was not really designed for that load.

I've always wondered about "whippy" TM1's. They feel exactly like a M12 Trap to me and I've not noticed anyone calling M12's whippy.

But that's just me - I could be wrong

OK - compared to the standard fencepost K80, they're whippy

Yes, Vern Brown was the guy that WAS making them. It was his weights that were
actually breaking at the stem. I'm sure he doesn't sell them any longer.

On mine, I milled a channel in-side the forend and poured
in molten lead. Works great and you don't see it.
