I have a Timney SS Pull Trigger for my 1100, and it has a set screw in the top back side of the assembly. I have tried to adjust it to tighten the pull weight, ( just the slighest of movement with the allen wrench)but it is either a hair trigger or it is locked and will not release. Any ideas from you shooters? Thanks in advance...Ernie

That adjustment screw is not for weight of pull. Weight of pull is adjusted by changing the trigger spring. HMB

I forgot to mention, that the trigger is set so light, that I already have promised to repaint the trap house roof at the club next spring as I have helped shot blast the old paint off it....ohhh, its a hairy trigger!!

So what is the purpose of the set screw? Are the trigger springs still available, and what type should I try and get for about 3lbs?

    1moreround,

I suspect that is the set screw to adjust for over travel.

Here is a directions picture of a Timney Trigger I found on the internet years ago...probably ebay. It's clear enough to figure out with having the trigger in your hands. Copy it to a picture viewer and zoom in it helps.

    I hope this helps.
