Thanks for a very nice picture of one of my favorite places to shoot, The Helena Trap Club in Helena Montana.

Doesn't anyone ever shoot the back of the traphouse there?

Nope but there are some Zip Eaton stories about having a bad day and throwing a Model 12 like a boomerang until it landed on the clubhouse roof.

Hadn't heard that one, Mike. I did, however have the privilege of shooting the State doubles there with Zip back in '92. I broke a 96 and he complimented me on my performance. I'll always treasure that moment.

Yeah, Zip was a great guy with a sense of humor. On that BMI thing it looks like I personally would have to go with Table 2.

That background is really good compared to Butte. You get to look at the "pit" in the background and it looks like it's litup compared to the rest of the hill.

And there's no way it's 74 there. Hardly ever gets that warm. LOL

We shoot towards an apartment complex. And on either side of the trap field are homes.

It is kind of an optical illusion as those buildings are about 1/2 mile away. The brick school without windows has been abandoned for many years as there is some story about who owns the land and building. The Labor Day Shoot in Helena is called the Zip Eaton Memorial Shoot and a crisp $100 bill signed by Zip is awarded to Monday's 200 bird Handicap winner.

I was really hoping to see a cow in a garbage can here.

Her mass index is too low for trapshooting. Her other indexes appear perfect.

At Rend Lake Shooting Complex you shoot right at the Rend Lake College buildings. You would swear you are too close.

Shoot building? Ever shot at the jets on the runway at Vandalia... now there's a moving target if I ever saw one.
