Southern Zone starts Thursday and it looks like North Carolina will be the coolest place to shoot weather wise.

12 PAT Traps - ERAD voice calls - should provide some great scores in the NC mountains.

PS - TarHeelTrap.com is back up and running thanks to Jimmy Wilson's son Jimmy.....

Cool weather, good targets and getting to see friends who I haven't seen for 3 years while we were gone. Wonderful so far and did well in singles and caps. One of the greates and certainly the true definition of Southern Hospitality!!!!

Day 3 is underway at the Bostic location and it looks like Friday was a bit overcast and rainy. Lane Murray was on his way to Bostic this morning and he commented that it was misty and overcast in the Morganton area.

There were more shooters in the handicap at Bostic Friday than the combined total for Nashville and Odessa. It will be interesting to see how many folks show up for the championship weekend.

I sure hate I won't make it because I would have like to take pix of Terry Deans squad - Jenna Knott - Mark Isner - Cassie Hammond - Royce White - Roland King and others.

Hopefully the scores will start rolling into the website here in a bit.

August 6th & 7th the Buckhorn Gun Club (Mebane NC) will host a two day trapshoot. Program to be determined at this time. If you are feeling bad about not going to the Grand just slip over to BGC and pound a few in the TarHeel State.

Hi Fred - hope you're doing well. Great pictures of NC Shooting! Unfortunately, I couldn't make it down south this summer. I think our members over at Trapshooting Online would like to see your photos too!

Folks we just got off the phone with newly nominated and soon to be inducted North Carolina Hall Of Famer - Jimmy Wilson.

He informed me of the program and the shoot will be held "In Memory" of NC Hall OF Famer Pete Davis.

Saturday program consists of 200 singles and 100 handicap targets.

Sunday program will be a typical 300 target program.

Come out and enjoy and Phil will be coming by and possibly shooting with the BGC crew.

    FRedmon

PS - Program details are posted on TarHeelTrap.com
