Most of the Obama Changes haven't even taken effect yet. That's the strategy. Get reelected and then jam some more down our throats. The 2012 election has many more consequences than seen on the surface. This is one of those.

The Democrats have always been the very best at doing this kind of shenanigan.

There's a lot more shit coming too. The Democrats think we're idiots and will forget what they passed during the first admin. with complete support in both houses of congress.

There are some on this site who have already forgotten what's going on and are softening their position. Just wait when all this Change kicks in.

If they thought we would really like their changes they wouldn't have timed the dates they go into effect until after the 2012 election. Typical socialist chicanery.

So basically he is remaining true to his word, as far as this article states. If the profit from your house sale, or other unearned income (Wages not included) does not exceed $250,000 you do not pay the 3.8% medicare tax. I have to laugh though at the way this organization states that people with more than $250,000 of unearned income for the year (Not including wages) will not be able to afford this tax. Like they will be living in poverty. More political BS. Talk about leading people down the road. Look at your source. Again, find someone to run against him that will beat him! LOL. After all, 99% of us will never come close to having to pay this tax.

Keep in mind all the CHANGE! was designed to take place AFTER Obama got reelected. They were too cowardly to let the CHANGE! take effect BEFORE the elections. Look at the bloodletting already last November. Pray there's more backlash coming.

Brian you are right but be ready because more change is yet to come.
This is only the tip of the iceberg from the CHANGE.
This is what you wanted America, now you got it!

As far as I can see not much has been changed since Obama took office. Even though everything that is wrong is his fault.

It's not going to matter who's in power.....the damage is already done and the ones that are loaning us money are going to want to be paid. Things are out of control in the US.....we're spending like we found the lost city of gold and no one is paying taxes.....hows that supposed to work.

Everyone wants a free lunch, and there is no such thing.

Y'all really need to thank the rich, as without them most of you would still be living in a cave.

Look how many on here boast about non profits, and at the same time are mooching off the taxpayers.

Let's put it this way. If I end up in that tax bracket, I will gladly pay the tax. I can't imagine life being tough to handle at that level. Man, when you really think about it, life would really be tough to have to figure out where to store your money so knowone would take it from you. The hard part would be the gloating about how wealthy you are as to outdo your neighbor and friends, without the fear of loosing the money, or being robbed. I can see where paranoia could set in.

sf....you might be shocked to find that being in the >250,000.00 bracket has nothing to do with how much cash you have. Many business are bankrupt once they get into that level......you better keep your day job, as making a lot of money probably is not in your best interests........you would find all those tax cuts for the rich really suck.

The article without the actual bill to read, is about unearned income.

Keep in mind that the gain from sale of your personal residence is excluded up to $250k for individuals and $500k for married couples. For any of that gain to be taxed, and included in the additional 3.8% tax, the gain would have to exceed that amount.

So if a married couple bought a house years ago for $200k, they would have to sell it for more than $700k for any of the gain to be taxed.

I am not a fan of the tax, but we all need to know how it works, especially with the sale of your personal residence.

Another bill that will rear its ugly head in 2012, when you sell your house, condo, tent or lean to, you will give the Federal govt 30% of the gross sale, like it or not. Its in the healthcare bill. Lee
