1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I am thinking about getting an 1100 competition trap. Anyone have any input on these guns? I have never really held one or tried one out. I have an older 1187 Premier trap that I am currently shooting, but it is a monte carlo stock and is a little high for me.

I have low cheek bones and most guns are too high for me. Most monte carlo stocks are about 1.375" drop at comb. I tried a 1100 comp at my local dealer and was amazed how low the comb will go, 1.625". I bought it in 2008. It shoots softer than my 391 teknys. I think it is the pro bore barrel that makes the 1100 shoot so soft. It's a smooth bore ( no forcing cone) and it weighs 10 lbs 2 oz with shot in the stock and a mercury weight on the front. Get one, they are great. I have had a few and they have less felt recoil than any other 1100 I have tried including my 1100 magnum action with the target barell which is known for the light felt recoil. I also like the way the nickel tefflon coating on the internals cleans up very easy. I have not talked to any one that has owned one that has not liked it and now you can get them with Ruckers adjustable stock and even the recoil reducer, I am not sure that is needed but is never a bad thing to have.
    good luck

If you can find one! I had dealers looking for months and finally gave up. Remington seems not to hear the voice of the marketplace at all on this gun. I actually found a barrel from one of them and put it on my Rem 1100 Classic Trap, got the stock from jack West, who makes them for Rucker to put the Auto Buster onto, and they sell the whole thing to Remington for the the gun. I basically built my own. The barrel is outstanding.

I talked to Remington and they said it would be the first of the year before they shipped anymore as production has not kept up with demand. We will see.
